Engaging Residents Through Activities

Everyone needs activity. As children we play and as adults, we work with a little time for play. Does that change when someone gets dementia?

In this presentation, we discussed how the need for activity continues as we age and how important structure is in the lives of those with dementia. We examined what you as a caregiver or health care provider need to consider when determining appropriate activities for people with dementia.

This webinar was designed for healthcare professionals who work closely with individuals living with dementia and their care teams.

Mary's mom and Star, caregiver, at Emerald Crest Minnetonka

A warm summer day with a gentle breeze. Enjoying time on the front porch with Mom and her helper, Star. Both Mom and Dad are enjoying their new residence at Emerald Crest Minnetonka. So very grateful for the kind-hearted staff at this peace-filled residence.
