Emerald Crest Memory Care Victoria, MN

Memory Care Victoria, MN

At Victoria Emerald Crest by Augustana Care, seniors will find thoughtful memory care in an assisted living setting where each individual’s personal preferences are valued. Our assisted living services help residents with tasks like dressing or showering and are tailored to their needs. Through specialized training and individual senior care plans, we partner with residents to maximize their abilities and encourage independence, enjoyment and opportunities for success.

A structured daily program includes exercise, music, crafts and more. In addition, on-site visits by professionals who provide medical and therapy services offer convenient support for physical concerns. As with all Augustana Care programs, memory care also includes spiritual support for residents and families.

Residence Director Jessica Barnett, RN-BSN

Prior to joining us, Jessica Barnett was a clinical nurse manager at Golden Living in Hopkins and a group home nurse manager at Mount Olivet Rolling Acres. She attended the University of Minnesota, Rasmussen College and Presentation College. “I am excited to work in memory care, because this is my passion. My favorite part of my job is getting to know everyone’s story,” Barnett says. We are very pleased to welcome her to Emerald Crest.

Occupational Therapist Michelle Gray

Michelle-Gray-web.jpg

As an occupational therapist at Emerald Crest, I assess the cognitive and physical abilities of residents. This information is shared with the team to assist with care planning and educating staff about techniques to best support each individual. I received my education from Saint Catherine’s University and have enjoyed working as an occupational therapist for the past 23 years. Personally, I know how difficult it is to see a loved one affected by dementia. I lost my mother to Frontotemporal Dementia and my father was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I’m truly honored to work with residents and families at Emerald Crest.

Campus Nurse Macky Schmitt, RN

I have been practicing as a nurse for 20 years and have a passion for sharing and developing relationships with patients and residents. I am especially drawn to older adults and interested in addressing their unique needs. Working at Emerald Crest by Augustana Care of Victoria allows me the opportunity to enjoy what I love to do—learn from and about people in our community.

I can’t say enough about the staff that took care of my father. They were all so loving and really did care for him.
